Me: 'I wish I had more time to appreciate all the little things in life.'
Mother: 'But then you probably wouldn't appreciate them.'
Me: 'So retirement for you is basically going to be a decade or two of bored un-appreciation?'
I had drinks and hung out with my friends boyfriends pack of chums last night, he lives in an apartment on Williams st across from club 77. From the roof turned pooled terrace, you could see all the way across Hyde Park to the CBD and Kings Cross on the other side. I said I'd happily massacre the family just for the view. There may be a restraining order in the works.
I looked up massacre in the dictionary (my spelling is atrocious)
I found the definition made me chuckle, not 100% sure why. This probably wasn't the intention of the authors, I'm sure it should instill a general sense of horror & inhumanity.
massacre |ˈmasikər| noun
- an indiscriminate and brutal slaughter of people : the attack was described as a cold-blooded massacre | she says he is an accomplice to massacre.
- informal a heavy defeat of a sports team or contestant.
- deliberately and violently kill (a large number of people). See note at kill .
....... Maybe if I looked up the the word "bunny," or "daffodil," I might find my misplaced sense of horror for 'massacre,' hmm
